The Gemfields RSL Sub-Branch Inc is part of the Pioneer-Fitzroy-Highlands District of RSL Queensland.
The RSL was established for the principal purpose of promoting the interests and welfare of former and serving members of the ADF and their dependants.
The committee and members extend a warm welcome to Veteran’s and social members in the Gemfields local area.
Join us and see what can be accomplished when you get a passionate team of volunteers who focus on upgrading our facilities. This is “Our House” and we are committed to ensuring the health & wellbeing of the RSL and our members during our watch.
Our Executive Board is comprised of a President (must be an ex-service person), Deputy President, Secretary, Treasurer, Vice President and Assistant Treasurer. The board is elected by the membership annually at the AGM.
VETERANS RETREAT
The Gemfields RSL Sub-Branch Inc offers a unique camping experience in the heart of Queensland’s Central Highlands Gemfields. Camping is open to all Veterans, serving members, first responders and their families. Facilities include a large and updated camp kitchen, amenities block, powered outdoor stage for live entertainment, powered and unpowered camping sites. The Retreat is open all year round.

BAR TRADING HOURS
Our Bar trading hours are Thursday, Saturday and Sunday nights from 3pm until 8pm. The bar will be closed at the end of the tourist season, normally October each year and reopens in February.
MEALS
The Gemfields RSL Sub-Branch Inc serve meals on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday nights from 6 pm during the tourist season. This is generally from May until October each year.
FUNCTIONS
The Gemfields Sub-Branch Inc club rooms are available for function hire. Please contact the secretary for further information.
MEMBERSHIP
If you live within 15kms of the RSL, you must be a member or you can be signed in by a member.
THIS IS THE LAW
We have two types of memberships:
Service member;
$20 per year
Social member;
$10 per year.
All membership fees are renewable in December of each year.
COMMEMORATIVE DAYS
Commemorative Days are held annually to ensure the effort and sacrifice made by the Gemfields Veterans community and members of the ADF are remembered appropriately. The main days are:
